Identifying Areas of Collaboration Between Country Neighbors to Advance Peace

FCA Thailand with the Peacemakers Network’s Asia Working Group (AWG) convened Network members from Myanmar and Thailand for a strategic workshop in Bangkok from the 10th and 11th of October. This dynamic gathering featured representatives from various backgrounds, including universities and a range of local and international NGOs. The workshop was not only celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the Network, but also focusing on peace and conflict dynamics in Thailand and Myanmar including their broader link to advancing peace in South and Southeast Asia. The main objectives of the workshop were included to analyze current trends and trajectories of conflict and peace dynamics in Thailand and Myanmar. This event also gathered strategic direction for collaboration, fund-raising and program development of the Peacemakers Network’s AWG for the year 2024-2025 and collected feedback and input to improve the overall functioning of the group.

งานประชุมเชิงยุทธ์ศาสตร์ของคณะทำงานเครือข่ายผู้สร้างสันติภาพแห่งเอเชียของระหว่างวันที่ ๑๐-๑๑ ตุลาคม ๒๕๖๖

เอฟซีเอ (ประเทศไทย) ร่วมกับคณะทำงานเครือข่ายผู้สร้างสันติภาพแห่งเอเชียได้จัดประชุมเชิงยุทธ์ศาสตร์ระ หว่างสมาชิกเครือข่ายจากไทยและพม่า จากหลากหลายสาขา อาทิ นักวิชาการ, คณาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัย และผู้ทำงานภาคประชาสังคม งานประชุมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นไม่เพียงแต่เฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ ๑๐ ปี ของเครือข่ายทำงานศาสนาและผู้สร้างสันติภาพ แต่ยังมุ่งเน้นไปที่พลวัตสันติภาพและความขัดแย้งทางในประเทศไทยและประเทศพม่า รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงที่กว้างขวางยิ่งขึ้นไปสู่การพัฒนาสันติภาพในเอเชียใต้และเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
